Music in Everyday Life

I was born in 1979 in Silkeborg at a dead end street in a residential neighborhood. The house featured a piano, an organ and songbooks and psalmbook. My mother practiced The Moonlight Sonata at day and my father practiced organ saturday night for the church service at the local Baptist church. Even after 20 years of playing he was still nervous. Singing was an integrated part of everyday life. Singing in church, singing before dinner and song at bedtime. I belonged to the pre-American-idol generation and a culture where music served both for listening and participation.

This being my background - I enjoy music for its ability to bring people together. I love the sound of people singing and playing and becoming one in the glory of vibrant frequenzies emerging the room.
