Circle Song Workshops

Music without 'music'

We let go of the sheets and instead let our voices create the music! Circle song workshops unite the sound and teamwork of a choir with fresh and playful improvisations of the moment. Do you want to be a better choral singer by becoming more focused and aware of the music around? Or do you want to explore your own voice and creativity by making the group your orchestra? This is the kind of workshop for you!

All kinds of sounds and voices are allowed to meet when the goal is to let musical moments arise out of the rough inspiration and chaos. It's a great oportunity for choir conductors and music teachers who want new inspiration, but it is also a brilliant offer for anyone who wants to be happier, freer and better singers.

Said about Kristian ...

Roger Treece (USA)

Composer and arranger on Bobby McFerrins album “VOCAbuLarieS”

"He is an outstanding singer with a great creative energy and skills to make his improvisations become structured yet alive. Always searching for the core of inspiration and a musical solution."

Katarina Henryson (Sweden)

The Real Group

"He is the perfect guide with his warmth, musicality and sense of humor. To participate in Kristians workshop is a chance to explore yourself and your fellow singers in a totally safe as well as a creative environment. It´s an opportunity to have a lot of fun that I try to catch as often as I can!"

Jim Daus Hjernøe (Denmark)

Professor in Contemporary Choir Conducting at The Royal Academy of Music, Aarhus.

"He is innovative, groundbreaking and boundary pushing in his work, possesses a great talent as a pianist and singer, and I consider him an important pioneer in developing contemporary a cappella scene in Denmark."

Paul Shilton (Canada)

Vocal Instructor at Fanshawe College, Ontario

"I applied many of the techniques that he showed us the night before and the result was spectacular. The students loved all of the exercises and walked out of the classes singing at the top of their voices. It felt like a real breakthrough and the director of the program said that he has never seen them so excited."

"I just wanna thank you for your open mind and your fresh way of life. It permits me to free my mind for the first time. I just wanna say that in fact I feel that you and me have shared more than music. And for me that's the first time I found the to express myself"
- Rufus (France)
"Kristian is a very, very good teacher / instructor - he's good at making people feel confidence in trying new things, and he tailors what he does to the group of people whom he leads. This I experienced at Aarhus Vocal Festival in which the participants at the 2 workshops were very different - and Kristian adapted his teaching according to the people and the situation."
